REPORT HIGHLIGHT Shell Recharge Unlocks North Luzon for Ev Drivers With Ultra Rapid Chargers

SPC through its retailer partners unveils the opening of its second Shell Recharge site along the Philippine expressways with the launch of its Shell Mobility TPLEX junction site in Rosario, La Union. This latest addition aims to alleviate range anxiety for electric vehicle (EV) riders going up north, marking a significant step towards establishing an EV highway equipped with fast-charging infrastructure across the country's main routes.

Shell Lubricants Take on Plastic Waste With ‘shell Lube Recycle’ Program

In an effort to reduce plastic waste and promote circular solutions, Shell Lubricants launched Shell Lube Recycle, a collaborative sustainability project that enables customers and partners to participate in responsible plastic waste management and recycling. The project will initially roll out with Green Antz as one of the many partners in the pipeline and will be piloted in Mega Manila.

SPC announced that it has recently signed a strategic agreement with SUN Mobility — a leading provider of energy infrastructure and services for electric vehicles. The partnership will explore the pilot deployment of SUN Mobility’s advanced battery-swapping technology in the Philippines for 2 and 3-wheel electric vehicles.

Consistent with the goals and targets of the Philippine Energy Plan 2020-2040 for the transition towards clean energy fuels and technologies and to provide the support infrastructure for the target ten percent (10%) penetration rate of electric vehicles for road transport by 2040, the Department of Energy today signed a Tripartite Memorandum of Agreement with the Shell Pilipinas Corporation, and Shell Energy Philippines, Inc.
