Ani Para sa Bayani aims to contribute to the food security in the country during the enhanced community quarantine. This project will:

  1. Enable smallholder farmer to sell their produce during the enhanced community quarantine period;
  2. Provide frontline health workers in NCR with healthy and nutritious meals.
  3. Provide LGUs with fruits and vegetables for inclusion in their assistance packages to food insecure households.

Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc. (PSFI) facilitates the procurement and transportation of the produce from the farmers to distributing partners, while these partners take charge of delivering the goods to frontliners and communities in need.

Working in close partnership with the relevant LGUs, government offices, Civil Society (Frontline Feeders PH) and various healthcare facilities, this intervention will provide nutritious food to frontliners and food insecure families while also ensuring that smallholder farmers have access to markets and farm to market links are reinforced during the Enhanced Community Quarantine Period.

PSFI’s Civil Society partner, The Frontline Feeders PH team, has organized a group of individuals - doctors, restaurant owners and NGOs — to mobilize food distribution to different hospitals in the Metro and in neighboring cities. Frontline Feeders PH: - connects networks (food establishments to hospitals) - solicits funds and uses it to buy food supplies - coordinates logistics - carefully allocates food delivery to hospitals to make sure it feeds the right number of people at the right time We want to avoid: - food waste and spoilage - sending too much to one place and too little to another So please do coordinate with us. We only wish to effectively spread out resources so that we can ensure that our frontliners are cared for.
